Hi Marilise
Mine only have 2 hooks unfortunately, but I got them from Stuttafords. Hope you find the ones you want. Otherwise give somewhere else a try, perhaps Edgars or a speciality lingirie store?

Hi Rosey
It's up to you about the products. My stylist gave me Joico products which I use anyway. I'm not a fan of shop bought products because I have yet to find ones that make my hair feel as good as the salon bought ones. Chat to your stylist about your concerns and the cost and perhaps she'll give you better reasoning or options.

Hi
I am going for my first BB this week and I am trying to decide whether to purchase the after care products or not. I have heard they do not really make a difference and its a bit of a money making scheme and that i can find products that are sodium free on the shelves.
Is this true? Are there cheaper products that I can use?

Hi, my hair actually looked great straight after the treatment. The procedure sounds the same, but I walked out feeling wonderful about it, definitely no scarves required. For the first week, my hair was super straight and it relaxed a little after that, but there wasn't ever a moment that I just wanted to cover it up.

Hi i am in the southern suburbs in Cape town and i have just had the treatment done.
My hair was washed once with the clarifying shampoo and i sat with it on for 15 minutes. Then rinsed and treatment applied and kept on for 20 minutes. Then blowdried and straight ironed. That was it and i was told not to wash my hair for 2 days. The thing is my hair looked terrible, it looked like a wig. It was heavy and sticky and the stylist actually said you wear a scarf after the procudure to keep the hair straight for 2 days. As she said after 2 days and you wash your hair with the shampoo and conditioner i had to buy you will see how great your hair looks. Please advise, is the the brazilian keratin treatment procedure.

Hi All
Comments on my site from other service providers are not endorsed by me. Please make sure that you do your research and ask as many questions as possible of the hair stylist.
Hi Diana
There are a number of places that advertise the brazilian blowdry, but are in fact giving you a keratin straightening treatment so be careful of that as it is not as effective or as long lasting. My suggestion would be to email Vanessa ashworth from Shine Salon and ask her about this. She will be happy to advise you on this and how best to get around it.
Bionics sounds awful! I've had no negative effects from this treatment, rather it made my hair feel fantastic.
Vanessa's email is vanessa.ashworth@gmail.com

Hi there, the only thing putting me off doing this is the no tying up and no kinks etc for 3 0r 4 days I work in a gym an this is just not practical? Is it really that long? I did bionics about two years ago and it actually broke the hair so badly that it grew back like shaved hair, seriously! I still have quite short bits that I have to clip back!!! I won't be doing that again.

Hi ladies!!! Want beautifully tamed, frizz free, shiny, manageable hair???
Look no further!! The Inoar Maroccan will do it's magic. Lasts up to 4 months with proper care. It completely transformes dull, lifeless hair to beautiful, soft, flowing locks!!! It is FDA and ISO approved and completely safe. There are 3 different treatments available: Argan oil for pregnant and breast feeding moms, The original Brazilian Maroccan Keratin treatment for dry, damaged, wavy or curly hair and finally the G-hair (german brush) for extremely damaged, curly, puffy and damaged hair (reduces hair volume more than the Maroccan). This treatment infuses Keratin (naturally found in hair) back into the hair. It protects and repairs the hair. Other Brazilian treatments require you to wait at least 3-5 days before you can wash, tie it up or even put it behind your ears. With the Inoar system you can do all of the above within an hour following treatment. Your hair will be washed twice with a clarifying shampoo from Inoar, then the traetment will be applied (like a tint) and the timely process of flat ironing the product into the hair begins. After the hair has been flat ironed you will have soft, straight and shiny hair!!! It reduces curls and after a couple of treatments may diminish them to a great extent. I own a studio (run from home) where you can relax and be beautified privately. I only see one client a day thus booking is essential as space is limited. You will receive complimentary coffee and my home baked carrot, nut and pineapple muffin with cream cheese icing (delicious!) I have a special running till end September: Moroccan short-shoulder length R800.00 Long R1000.00 (Big salons charge R1400-R3500). The G-hair (this involves an extra product and extra time) shoort-med R1000.00 and long R1300.00. Call Chantal at Le Rouge Keratin Studio on 0718910310. For more info see www.lerougekeratin@weebly.com or simply google Inoar Brazilian. There are you tube videos too. Happy Hair Days!!!

Let me add: I dont do cheap products!!! Inoar is the best and is preffered by celebrities like Nicole Richie. There are over 60 different Brazilian blow dry's available!! Inoar is the first and original one. Please try mine after you have had a cheaper version: you will know the difference! My shampoo is very cheap R100 shampoo and R100 conditioner as you only need one without soduim Lauryl Sulphate! You can purchase this anywhere...Ta Ta Chantal xxx :-)

Hi,
I went for the brazilian blow wave on friday 15th July 2011 and I am really impressed with the end results. My hair is smooth, straight and shiny!
Thew cost was R900 at a salon in Weltevreden Park, the lady's name is Anisha and you can contact her on 011 476 2446, she is extremely friendly and professional.
The shampoo costs R250 and the conditioner costs R280, it's very expensive but apparently will last up to 3 months.
I would really recommend anyone who has frizzy, wavy and course hair to go and have this process done.

Hey Giz
Just called Lazzaro Spa & Salon to enquire...no answer left message. Thanks for the tip on the special Giz :) R799!!!!
I wonder what's their normal rate. A salon in Menlyn (Pretoria) quoted me R1750 (I have mid-length just past the shoulder long hair) and then said he'll give me discount and dropped the price to R1300. The shamp & cond costs R500 extra though.
