Have you ever seen a gorgeous bra in a shop window that you really wanted, but they didn’t make in your size. Or you’ve grown a little since you bought your bra and you can’t bear to throw it away so you squeeze into it and it leaves you with nice red marks across your back by the end of the day?

I recently bought 3 bras based on a bra measurement that I had last year. I forgot that last year I had been at my lovely wedding weight and this is definitely no longer the case. I just needed to go up one size, but alas, on returning to the shop they informed me that they don’t make those bras in a size bigger without going two cup sizes bigger. (So much for catering to a wide market…pardon the pun).  I could have returned the bras and received a gift voucher or found something else, but I had also bought the matching panties and those you can’t return at all. Besides, I really liked the bras and running through my mind was the idea that I would just have to try harder to lose that weight. I’m not terribly unhappy with the size I am now though and I was beginning to despair when the kind sales lady asked me if I had ever tried a Bra Extender…

“A what?” I asked. Never heard of them. Unfortunately that particular shop and 4 other clothes shops in the shopping mall did not have any of these until finally Stuttafords came to the rescue and this is what I found:

The concept is relatively simple, but the effect is fabulous. I now have three new bras that are comfortable and gorgeous. Yay for the sales lady who told me about these and hopefully someone else will benefit from this knowledge too.

In a world of shrinking clothes and growing bodies, these little gadgets are wonderfully helpful. Now when I go in to buy some underwear I don’t have to worry about feeling huge, because they just don’t make things that big. I have come to realise that clothing manufacturers are increasingly trying to make us feel terrible about ourselves. Well NO MORE! I can now confidently buy great bras with my head held high knowing that I can be comfortable and feel sexy and gorgeous at the same time.
